Punchuate Software Privacy Statement
This page provides the privacy statement for users of Punchuate software (a computer application which runs separately from this website). This statement applies to Punchuate software, not to the website where this statement is posted.
1. General approach
Punchuate is an offline speech-guided reading tool that processes text on the user’s own device. It is designed to work as a free-standing app using operating-system speech features.
Punchuate itself does not require a developer server, cloud account, or built-in online AI service in order to function.
2. Information processed by the app
Punchuate may process text that you type, paste, drag into the app, import from supported local files, or send to the app through operating-system sharing or service features.
This processing takes place locally on your device as part of the app’s normal operation.
3. No automatic transmission to the developer
Punchuate does not automatically send your text, processed output, or usage data to The Prime Machine or to the developer.
Punchuate does not include built-in analytics, advertising SDKs, telemetry, or server-based account features.
4. Local storage and system features

If you use copy, share, import, or operating-system service features, related content may be placed in local clipboard, temporary files, or other operating-system managed locations as part of those actions.
