particularly if you have been editing using dictation and you want to check text yourself without using AI.

Do you find it difficult to spot issues with punctuation, word endings or grammar words when you want to proof-read your own writing? Would you like to have your device's built-in Text-to-Speech read to you in different ways?

Punchuate is small and completely offline – it is designed to highlight features in text that you might not notice, and to tweak the Text-to-Speech output to help you focus on different aspects of a text.

The app works offline and does not transmit or receive data from the internet.
 
It is designed to help readers and writers in educational settings by providing clearer visual and spoken cues
using your device’s built-in speech features .
Punchuate Mode
Adds stronger visual and spoken cues to:
  • punctuation
  • sentence structure
  • capitals
  • selected word endings
Flow Mode
Presents the text in a smoother reading view, muting:
  • URLs
  • Anything in brackets (such as in-text citations)
Content Words Mode
Highlights the main meaning-carrying words.
Grammar Words Mode
Highlights structure words such as articles, pronouns, auxiliaries, and related grammar items.
